- Even if you have checked and maintained your car, there may be chances that odd situations may occur. Therefore, you have to be smart enough to be prepared for the winter-emergency. Carry extra-items to survive. Say, for example, blankets, water and other life-saver items in case you get stuck in the cold-storm. Jumper cables are helpful if temperature-beaten battery needs a boost.
